"...the finest wine I have yet tasted from this estate..."
Last week, the 2005 Lalande Borie received an upgrade to 90/100 points. We already tasted the 2005 vintage during the primeur tasting in 2006 and were excited:
Château Lalande Borie - St. Julien 2005
In 1970 Family Borie bought 30 hectares from Château Lagrange - Saint Julien! and founded Château Lalande Borie. Today the Château has 25 hectares with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 % Merlot and 10 % Cabernet Franc. Robert Parker [WineAdvocate]:
"A sleeper of the vintage as well as the finest wine I have yet tasted from this estate, Lalande-Borie is made by Ducru Beaucaillou’s proprietor, Bruno Borie. He has turned out a graceful, charming, seductive St.-Julien possessing a dense purple color and sweet cassis fruit intermixed with forest floor, spice box, and earth characteristics. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade." 90/100 Points - Drink 2008-2018
Today we bought a few cases in Bordeaux - Delivery in february/march 2009!
